The solar production cells project is a significant and sustainable addition to the Dar Al Fonoun Center. This project, generously supported by the Japanese government through JICA, in cooperation with the Refugee Affairs Department and the Services Committee, aims to provide a clean and reliable energy source for the center. By installing advanced solar cells, the center will be able to rely on solar energy to meet its electricity needs throughout the year, contributing to reduced operating costs and enhanced environmental sustainability.
The total cost of the solar production cells project is estimated at approximately $60,000 USD and is now ready for operation. This valuable investment not only provides a stable source of electricity but also contributes to supporting the center’s artistic, cultural, and educational activities and programs on an ongoing basis. It enables the center to expand its services to the local community without worrying about power outages or high electricity costs.
